There could be hundreds of millions of nominal1 Christians among Protestants around the world. It is impossible to get a precise figure; and in this matter, we are aware of the danger of appearing proud or judgemental. As we considered our task, two things became clear. First, we are dealing with a major task in world evangelization. Second, we were challenged by our own incipient nominality and were compelled to examine the level of our own Christian commitment.
