The appeal of Salafism is very strong for Muslims, because it is a call to rebuild the early state of Islam that Muhammad set up in Medina in the 7th century.
These simplistic, supremacist thinkers believe that violently recreating the Golden Age today will automatically result in a civilization better than any other ever witnessed.
These extremists think a utopia will be the answer.
And they strongly encourage violent jihad to achieve it.
What they don’t realize is that Jesus is the answer to all of our longings for utopia. He has created a civilization better than any other ever witnessed.
He is perfection and He offers hope and salvation to even the most violent Salafist.
