King Abdullah (Prayercast)

one of the most influential Muslims in the world  If any Muslim thinks he has confidence in the flesh, Jordan’s King Abdullah has more:   

A direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad   

Head of the Hashemite Dynasty   

A Muslim of Muslims   

As to respect and admiration, unmatched   

As to wisdom, remarkable  He is one of the most influential Muslims in the world.  A man named Paul once had very similar reasons to boast:   

Circumcised on the eighth day   

Of the tribe of Benjamin   

A Hebrew of Hebrews   

As to the law, a Pharisee   

As to righteousness under the law, blameless  This was Paul’s response to these reasons:  "But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…. [I] count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him…. that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3:7-11)  Please read that again – and let your heart cry that prayer on behalf of King Abdullah.  No one is beyond God’s love – or His power to save through Jesus Christ.
