Turkish World (Prayercast)

united in their ethnic and Muslim heritage  The Ottoman Empire dominated the Middle East, North Africa, and Eastern Europe for over 600 years. Turkish influence was spread across the region.  With the dissolution of the empire a century ago, the modern state of Turkey embraced a secular form of Islam. Islam and its practices were more cultural than religious.  But they were deeply cultural.  Today there are only around 6,000 indigenous believers in this place where Christianity first took root 2000 years ago.  The spiritual soil has long been hard in the Turkish World.  But God LOVES the Turkish peoples – and He is at work today!  Will you join Him?
