About the Mission InfoBank
The Mission InfoBank is a collaborative commitment to deliver high-quality, relevant, international mission-related information collections from leading Christian researchers, governments, and other sources around the world, including database, graphical, cartographic, textual, audio, and video resources.
The primary purpose of the Mission InfoBank is to serve the mission information needs of evangelical Christian leaders around the world by:
compiling, linking to, and giving access to high quality missions research resources;
integrating and displaying missions data from multiple sources and dates;
providing an online platform for missions researchers around the world to distribute their own material; and
facilitating online geographic mapping of missions data.
The Mission InfoBank consists of three major components:
The Database – where you can:
view a wide array of data about countries, people groups, languages, and Christian churches (denominations);
sort and filter data to meet your criteria;
view the data in tables, charts, and maps; and
do online mapping of the data, and save and download your maps.
The Library – where you can:
find valuable missions-related documents, images, maps, audio, and video files;
view and/or listen to the research materials of your choice; and
download and use the materials (most of which are free).
The Community – where you can:
volunteer to help expand the Mission InfoBank;
provide comments, report bugs, and suggest new data categories;
upload your data and other research resources into the Mission InfoBank; and
contribute financially to support continued development of the Mission InfoBank.
A growing team of missions information providers and technologists – coordinated by Global Mapping International and hosted by Gospel.com – has developed and is maintaining and expanding the Mission InfoBank.
